I had a friend offer me a 1980's something Chevrolet C-65 with a 427 engine. Question is are there different 427's like a truck verses car model or are they all the same? If he gets the truck he wants from another guy, I can buy the C-65 from him for $200.00 bucks. I just can't pass this up if it happens. grin

The difference is in the deck height of the block the truck blocks are taller they use a different intake manifold and a longer distributor other than that they are the same.
Truck block use has become popular in building large stroker motors so the aftermarket has responded by offering spacers that adapt the standard manifolds to these motors so all the standard performance equipment can still be utilized.

The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

I just found out it's a 1973 C-65 with a short wheelbase. I still think I'll buy it, $200.00 is really cheap! :/
