It loses grit pretty fast but if you don't care about that its very cheap.

I dont know about less expensive but if you dont like changing sandpaper all the time this is the way to go. It has a cloth backing so it lasts and lasts. Might cost a little more up front but when something lasts as long as this stuff and you dont have to keep changing paper all the time I think your way ahead in the long run. klingspor Hope this helps, Paul | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 39 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 39 |

The cheapest sticky paper, as opposed to either hook it or hook it II, is about $25 my cost. Just imagine what the people that walk in off the street pay!!
I do have a bunch of the cheap stuff left over in my garage. Personally, I'd rather pay a little more for better quality. It gets annoying when you constantly have to stop and change paper b/c you just keep burning through it. | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 443 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 443 | I agree with you Chevy-Jenny. I would rather pay a little more for better paper. It lasts longer and will actually cost less in the long run. I tried some cheap stuff from Harbor Freight and the abrasive wore off really fast. I bought some 3-M paper from a friend with a body shop & it cost a little more but lasts a lot longer. 1957 Chevrolet 1/2-ton Stepside LB in the Gallery My Photobucket shots The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873) | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,859 Grumpy old guy playing with trucks, cars, and boats | Grumpy old guy playing with trucks, cars, and boats Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,859 | Napa has 10 packs for about $4-5 if you only need a little. Otherwise, no, hit the paint store and get some 3M rolls
