Oddly enough, there isn't a 230 listed for 1966..only the 292 and 250. The number matches the 250, assuming a 230 doesn't have the same number! Thanks for your help.Any advice on making the six a little hotter when I rebuild it? | | |

You can plan on the usual bolt-ons, better breathing with headers and an improved intake (4 barrel or multi-carb), a hotter cam, good ignition. Mine is at http://www.chuckthetruck.homestead.com/page15.html There are a lot of really hot sixes out there, depends what you want to do with it. Ken is working on a supercharged and/or Miller cycle 292 that oughta be a real torquer. It might be running now - haven't heard an update in a while. | | |
