i have a generator off of a tractor that i think is 12 volts
but i want to be sure as i am going to put in the truck today
it is a red tag delco remy 110050-1 i have read here that the
red tag means 12 v but its not stamped 12 or 6 some help would be great.

I just took the number off my generator yesterday - 1958 Delco-Remy 1102097 2C13 and 12 volt as model. It was clearly stamped.

Dont have my books in front of me but Im almost sure 1100501 is a Farmall generator. 6 volt. Also, the 6 volt Delco tags were black in background and they DID NOT say 6 volt on them. 12 volt tags however did say 12 volt at the bottom of them and they were red in background. The same black tag was used on all Distributors regardless of it being a 6 or 12 volt system.
