I had read an article on a guy re-doing one and then selling it because he had found a "correct" 1953 fresh air heater. Just wondering - inquiring minds want to know.

The new design of Air Flow (Fresh Air) heater might have started in 1953 - I might have been too quick in posting 54/55. Maybe someone has the 1953 Restoration Pack specification manual or a 1953 Truck Data Book.
Jim Carter sells the same Air Flow decal for 53-55. He also sells a 54/55 and a 1953 cable for the Air Flow internal recirculation door. The 1953 cable has the older style knob but could be a longer cable for the newer-style heater (and it also be cut shorter to control the defroster flap on the older style Fresh Air heater).
