Is the harmonic dampner on 235 special for this motor? or will a dampner for a small block work ? I have one but its in pretty bad shape and am not sure that its going to work like it supposed to .

quick54 i would suggest that you use the proper dampner for the engine they are desined for that particular engine a small block may not fit proprerly and could be a hazard to your engines berings

Mojave is correct. There is a difference between the dampner on a v8 & inline 6. Stick to the correct one or "bad vibes" will consume your motor.
