Has anyone here used the rear half patch panel on their fender repair on a TF? I originally bought just the bottom rear patch panel, but looking at my driver side fender, it looks like it could really use the full back half panel that most suppliers sell. Pictures, hints, opinions, any and all advice welcome. Unless, of course, someone just happens to have a good driver side rear fender they wouldn't mind parting with. LOL!

the back-half patch is great if you need it, and is a lot easier to find than a good used fender grin

I just did the rear lower section and the front headlamp section on one of my fenders. From what I can see, the 1/2 fender would be a lot more work because of the inner braces that are welded on at the top, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than a new fender. You can check my photobucket pictures for what I did. If it were my choice, I would go for the 1/2 fender patch before buying a new one. Just remember, with all these repair panels you will have to make some "adjustments" to make them work.

Clint,

How is the sheetmetal above the headlights? Mine was rusted out pretty good, along with the lower rear quarters.

I also had to repair the top lip inside the fender towards the rear (you can see what I had to do here: http://rides.webshots.com/album/557471728NwbNRn?start=48)

Have fun!

Lane
