Is there a need to find a shorter one so that the fan will fit? I did buy a short waterpump from patricks and put that in my 235 motor for my 1951 truck. It worked pretty well and it costed me about 139 bucks

It was the best prices of 4 places I found it. I have never used them, so I will see how it works. I wish he used phots like others. I am sure it comes with a gasket, but the description and the picture don't show one. You'll need to find a pully the right length and same diameter as the late 235 one. We used to use 292 Ford pulleys back in the day. Probably won't find many of them in wrecking yards now days but there's bound to be something that's close enough. I always see stacks of pulleys at swap meets, too.
Push the pulley mount towards the pump with a press, cut off the excess shaft and install the pulley. Spend the $100 difference on something else the truck needs. | | |
