I have a ooold drop axel with 5 lug drums,i dont know what they are off looks to be "bolt on" cant see any #s any sugestions? Will 55-59 axel interchange 47-54 1/2tons?

No. The springs on the 47-54 run kinda tow in... that is they mount closer together in the front, and further apart in the back. The springs are parallel on the 55-59. I believe tha backing plates and the hubs will switch over from those years, but the I beams themselves are a no-go.

Center 2 center spring pack bolt not same? I also need to I.D. the hubs and drums maybe 50s car steel drums so not buick? any idea ?

You could measure the bolt pattern to get a better idea what they might be... Also the inside diameter of the brake drums would help.

Bolt pattern 5 on 4 3/4 drums look to be 11 1/2 id x 2?? been it weather 5 year at least now im trying to get off drums try to loan a drum puller il take pics tonight i have to read how to post pics???? thanks for help

You've probably got 49-54 car hubs and drums on your axle. If they're the original drums they will be riveted to the hub with 3 big rivets so look close before you use a puller. If they're not the original drums you'll still see the ground off rivets on the hubs. I've got this setup on my 31 pickup with 52 car wheels. It's a cheap way to get 5x43/4 bolt pattern.

I agree, 5x4.75 sure sounds like Chevy car stuff from those years.
