CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY MY ENGINE I FOUND THIS ON DRIVERS SIDE BEHIND CARBURATOR - 346250 GM - CAN'T SEEM TO
FIND ID ON ANY WEB PAGES - MY TRUCK IS 1963 CHEVY SWB
HAS THREE SPEED AUTOMATIC - ID'ING ENGINE WOULD
MAKE IT EASIER TO GET PARTS ETC. ALSO WHAT AN EASY
WAY TO ID THE TRANNY frown

The numbers you want are to the rear of the distributor which are stamped into the flat pad on the block.
The other ones used to identify the engine block are cast into the right lower rear of the engine block just behind the front of the starter.
If you click on the flashing search engine, Parts by year icon at the top of the stovebolt page, you can find an engine decoder on that site. (Look at the VIN decoder) cool
