Went to my local auto salvage yard today just to look around , They just brought in a 51 chevy 1/1/2 ton rack truck from some local farmer, 3 window cab . I took some small parts off of it. I was really surprised the cab had solid floors and solid cab corners only a little rust, the cab would make a good project wish I had extra room, any way if anyone is interested its in central new jersey two miles off the turnpike,at a auto salvage yard called red and black, in jamesburg new jersey.

I guess I over reacted, seams no ones interested. in a week or two the truck will probably go to the crusher,It just seams a waste, but in the north east you don't find cabs in this condition, but I guess no one in this area is interested,oh well............your loss...............old navy 51................

For my part, I'm interested. Shoot, I'm always interested in epecially the bigger trucks. However, I cringe to even think about the freight from NJ out west. frown

And well, I made a promise to not bring home any trucks for a couple of years. Gosh darn it, and a promise is a promise. So, I'm doing my best to be "good" and stay out of the doghouse.

So, perhaps there are others like me, who would be interested but are trying to stay out of the doghouse, or who just live a ways away. wink If you want to read a good column about "old truck disease", go to Big Bolts and read "ole truck disease strikes again". It's almost a month old, so it's a little ways down the list.

Keep looking, though. It's always good to hear about a good truck sighting.
