The mornings are getting a little frosty, so I'm putting a fresh air heater in my '53 but I'm not to sure of correct routing of the hoses.
So...., do I come off the water pump outlet and go to the 1st outlet (closest to the firewall) of the control valve. Then from the 2nd outlet of the control valve to either of the outlets on the core, then from the core to the thermostat housing inlet. Is this correct? or do I have it bass-ackwards?

goes the following way and I assume that the same is true for a '53.
Hose from the water pump goes to heater(PS).
Hose from thermostat goes to control valve(closest to firewall).
Hose from control valve(closest to front), goes
to heater(DS)

I was delayed by the little bracket that holds the hoses to the fender liner. I have not seen these in any of the catalogs, so I went to a junkyard and had my pick of several. Not a highly technical part and a workable replacement could easily be made up in the shop, but I wanted to keep it original. Plus I like an excuse to hunt through junkyards anyway. | | |
