The plan is to use a 11" clutch and the ring gear for a starter with a floor button. the starter is changed to 12 volts and the ring gear will be 139 tooth all will go on a 261 that I will go thru. Anyone done this and what will be my problem if any?

Still running the 6 volt starter on a 12 volt system, no problems with that. The problem comes with clearance when installing the fork in the bell housing. You will probably need a shorter ball stud. Mine was assembled the way I learned in high school where you loosen the bell housing bolts as far as possible, slip in the fork, then tighten the bolts with an open end wrench 1/12 of a turn at a time. Ugh!
