It's alot of work. Almost ready to take over my store my wife and I bought. I can't believe how fast my truck has come in a short amount of time. Remember back when I was ready to hang it up and now It's almost done stage (ready for the paint shop). I looked back at the fourum and the date was 3-25 today is 5-10. Wow........ We need to mock up the door handles and power brake booster and foot pedals. I have to hand it to Dan and Mike at Youngs Welding. They did a hell of a job. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. It's worth the drive. My next phase is to get it media blasted then we will plug the holes in the frame and then paint. TO the bodyshop for paint!!!! Stay tuned for details. NM51 They welded the 2 pcs of the hood together. Then they ground down the excess.

Kind of lost track of how your project was doing, what do you have for update? | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 33 Apprentice | Apprentice Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 33 | Hey Tom, great looking truck! What kind of frame did you use or did you add a clip to the front? Also in your pictures of the cab it showed something you labled as "stitching" on the roof sections. I'm not sure what that means or why it was done but is probably something I should know if I'm to do something similar. Thanks and all the best as you get it all completed. | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 205 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 205 | Dakota: The truck went from one bodyshop to another. It's finally at an excelant shop in Anoka Minnesota. The guys have had it for a week and their kicking ***. The truck in pieces now. They are hammering away. The guys say that they will have it done and paint in a month and a half. The truck will be a coool House of Color Candy apple Cobalt Blue.
Engine is here, they are woking on the leather interior and I and working on the frame and a few other things.
As for the other bodyshop. HE WILL HAVE HIS DAAY IN COURT.
If they ask for money, that is your first red flag. Don't i say don't give them anything. Progress payments. That's the only way I will do it know.
I will get some more pictures and post thm so you can see whats happening.
