I have a 1950. I want to swap out the rear axle. It looks like I can go with a 68-72 Nova, 67-69 Camaro, 64-67 Chevelle. Is this correct? Which one would be best? If I pick it out of a junkyard should I get it rebuilt (I guess this depends on the condition, Huh)? Anyway, I plan on putting in a 350 and an auto trans.  Thanks

#33788 02/23/2003 3:17 AM | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | I have a 52 half ton that is now in the shop to change out the drive train, going with 85 blazer rear end so I can keep the 6 lugs, will have 2:73 rear end which most feel is not tall enough, will have 88 s10 5 speed, do not know how it will work, should be ready in a few days, will keep the 235, and it will still look stock,will let you know in a few days how I like it....Fred
