My truck lost all the rear lights all at once including the plate light..no signals no parks no brake lights...any ideas?
Thay have always worked untill yesterday.I was parked at the mall then when I was heading home I got pulled over for no lights...maybe vandalism?(cut wires)?Cant think of any other reason to loose all of them at once

ambear,

My first comment was going to be loss of the ground on the bed which would affect every electrical device depending on that ground, but that might be a stretch.

I'm not sure, but I don't think ALL those circuits share a common fuse, but I sure would check the fuses. I looked at a wiring diagram for a '65 and noticed many of the connections are made up of the plug and socket deals...usually on the firewall.

Could these have been disconnected somehow? I wonder if any of the lights had been out awhile, and the rest finally fizzled which caught Mr. Law's attention. Do a little more detective work and let us know what you find.

Thanks stu....all the lights were working for sure up untill yesterday because I had to adjust my headlights the night before and I checked all my lights then...I will check the grounds and the firewall for loose wires though...
