Obviously, my memory is starting to slip me. Transmission and clutch are both out of the way. I removed the bolts that hold the flywheel to the back of the engine, but it wouldn't budge. Put the bolts back in place----just in case.
I have also pulled the oil pan, but that is for a different reason. Do I have to remove the 2 bolts on the bottom of the engine by the rear main seal to get the flywheel off??
All help is greatly appreciated.

I leave one bolt in a few threads, or use a chain and retain the FW to the block. Then use a section of 2x4 and a fist-maul. put the 2x4 up against the edge of the FW and smack it. Same principle as deadblow hammer.
Flywheel then comes of, if you dont retain it, it lands on your foot, then rolls down the driveway into oncoming traffic.
If you use a prybar, be careful or things may break. a hearty smack vibrates the thing off. prying works if you slowly work from side to side.
