I had a bad bottom door hinge on the passenger side. In taking it apart, I removed the door and both upper and lower hinges. This was partially for clean-up and primer while I had it apart. The upper hinge had a bolt in the back (foreward most)part of the hinge. When I removed the bolt, there was a square nut on the backside that fell down on to the floor. My problem is that I can't get the nut back up there to put the bolt back in. I can't get to it from the bottom where it fell out and I can't get to it from under the hood. My arm is too big to reach back there. Do I have to remove the fender in order to get to the back side of the bolt? I think I must be missing something? Thanks....

I had kind of resigned myself to taking the fender off. I was hoping I wouldn't have too, but that's what it looks like. I think I will tack weld the square nut on the back once I can get to it. I think it probably needs the nut and bolt in there because it supports the hinge/door. I guess if I take the fender off, I can really clean it up and paint both sides of it.
