I have not seen any such animal in the options or accessories but seem to remember seeing something about a "dash speaker" on earlier trucks from the '30s. This sure looks factory installed, nicely snugged-up against the sound batt. I don't think that you will find that installation is an original setup in any way. The speaker has a cloth covered cable with a round plug with 4 prongs that would have plugged into the radio. Did the original GM radios have any sort of receptacle for a "remote" speaker? the orginal radios did not have a provision for an external speaker. It sounds like you have a module from an older radio.
