Was the lettering across the face of the 1942-46 accessory radio (radio w/ thumb wheel adjust) originally painted? All the radios I've seen either were not painted or perhaps the paint had worn off.

All of mine are unpainted plastic, only color is on the dial portion.

I have a NOS plastic face for one of these radios, and it isn't painted in the letters. Not to say paint in the letters wouldn't look good though?

Barry, you would you be interested in selling or trading that plastic face? Let me know at IDPHR@aol.com. Thanks
