Just completed installing my locking fuel door into the bed wood for my 54. I can now finish the staining and apply the urethane.

Houston, where did u get the fuel door? Need one for mine.

Found it on ebay of course. I recall the seller saying it was used on a dodge durango. I have seen them in som epickup accessory stores and a quick yahoo search found this link.

Just looked at the nice job you did on your fuel door. I was curious when I looked at photo #10 what gas tank set up you used?

The tank is a 1st Gen camaro/firebird 18 gallon tank. It is supported with custom bent straps I made. It is pretty wide but it fits. The exhaust pipes took some fancy bending to get over the axle and around the sides of the tank but it works well. The fuel bung was cut from the original and installed using some 2 inch rubber hose and clamps. The anti-squeak strips were cut from some tar paper from a local building site. Glad you like our efforts. We are happy with the way it is turning out also.
