I used spar varnish after dicussing it with a cousin whos husband does home and wood restoration. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | The bottom had been done with Pelucid fro POR 15, as had the top. The top reacted badly to the UV and started to peel. The bottom was very sound, so I only did the tops and overlapped it on the sides. I beleive the bottoms will be OK as there isn't any UV hitting them. I also have a rubber floor mat that I'll use to cover the wood when the UV is really bad in the summer.
