What direction do the eccentric washers face? Is it with the large end towards the cab? Also, any advice on making the recessed areas so the washers will be flush with the bed wood?

Don't know about the washers, but a Forstner bit works great for the recessed holes...clean edge, no tear out.

I know that the procedure is in here some where for soing the recesses, but I don't recall when it was posted. Are you making you're own boards? I had the holes done for mine when I ordered them from Mar-K. The cost was minimal compared to the work doing them myself.

This way, I knew that the holes would match up to the bracing, since I would be marking them and drilling them based on the exact position of the bracing in my truck bed. If I ordered the boards predrilled and any holes didn't match up, that board would be useless, as you can't undrill a hole. Look forward to any other recommendations, as I plan to start this Saturday.
