I'm looking to buy new sheet metal for my bed. I have a 55 2nd series chevy short stepside. Does anyone have any perference on manufactures? I need bedsides, front panel and tailgate. I would love to get rid of the taligate chains. I see the Mar-K adds on the site. I've talk to Pro-picks of course they tell me there product is better then Mar-k. I've talk to Mar-k and they say about the same thing.

Mar-K and Bruce Horkey's are THE bed component mfgrs in the US, and the reason Mar-K ads are on the site is they've been good enuf to sponser the bed clinic forum here - their parts and service have satisfied a number of the folks here - never heard anything about Pro Pick

I've always heard good things about Mar-k.

Post your questions in the bed forum and one of the guys will help you out.

Mar-K gets my vote, great parts and packaged to survive the worst delivery man, but if you want some crazy kind of exotic wood see Bruce
