It's a 55 235 with Tattersfield dual intake. I have lots of Rochester carbs and one Carter, but I could get another Carter if need be. the question is- which carbs should I use? Is one type carb better for this application and why. This engine will be mildly enhanced.

What linkage are you using?
WHat carbs will fit on the manifold?

I'm going to use two 2bbl Holley 94's with an edmunds intake on mine. You can buy adjustable main jets and differant vacuum power valves for them.

Size 2 carburetor bases have center-to-center spacing of two and eleven/sixteenth inches. Size 3 carburetor bases have center-to-center spacing of two and fifteen/sixteenth inches.
We really like the Carter W-1 (1946-1948 Chevrolet) for size 2 carburetors (mechanical power system).
For size 3 carburetors, Zenith 28AV12, 28BV12; Stromberg BXOV-3, and BXUV-3 work well.
In any case, an EXACT MATCH BY PART NUMBER is desirable.
