I will email Cliffs Classic Chevrolet and ask him, I would almost garauntee he knows, he specializes in 1955-57 cars, and 1955-1959 trucks. He should get back to me withing a couple days, unless I find out sooner.
Also, could you give me the basic specs on your vehicle:
- Make + Model
- Engine
- What Size Drivetrain (1/2, 3/4 ton??)

is 20.5 gal.. The tank looks smaller than that. I havn't run it to empty yet. Don't want to take any chances, the gauge is a little squirrelly at times. But, now I have the wiring diagram. Gonna check that out today. If you do contact your friend, see if he agrees with the 20.5 gal..

I did do some research on ebay, and I couldnt find the right one that corresponded with your panel, but it was something around 20 gallons. So, I think its at least 20 gallons, if the manual says so, then its true as long as its the correct one, and thats the original gas tank. Thought I would try to help, thanks!

Thanks for all your help. It is the original tank.
The manual says 20.5. I did run it pretty low over the weekend. I'm going to fill it up tomorrow. We'll find out for sure then. I really appreciate all your help. Thanks again,
