I know they had insert bearings and were considered better than a 216. Can youse guys give me any more info, comparisons, hp, torque etc? I have a 56 235 im my 50 3600. | | |

228 - 183 fp of tq at 1000 RPM & 95 hp @ 3200 RPM
248 - 202 fp of tq at 1000 RPM & 100 hp @ 3100
270 - 222 fp of tq at 1000 RPM & 104 hp @ 3000
302 - 262 fp of tq at 1200 RPM & 156 hp @ 3600
All of the above have the same block just different bore & stroke. | | |

All the replacement head I ever found were just as cracked. An old machinst told me to pull it out and replace with a Chevy 235. If you can find one with a good head you may be ok. Or buy a new 12 Port!!!!!!! | | |
