I have a 41 1/2 PU with a 4 speed trani and torque tube. On the end of my torque tube there is a sleeve over it increasing the outside dia. to 2 1/4.I have not seen this sleeve on any other torque tubes. I am looking for the gasket which goes on the end of the universal housing. which seal the housing to the torqe tube.

Chevs of the 40s has a kit with all the seals/gaskets you need. You should pick up a manual also, shows what goes where.
Best of luck

I already got the gasket rebuild kit from J Carter but the gasket for the universal enclosure is for 2" torque tube. my enclosure is set up for a 2 1/4" torque tube.

I'd pick up the phone and ask Carter why the parts don't fit.
