ANYONE KNOW THE SEAL NUMBER ON AN SM 420?(YOKE SEAL). TRADED MY OLD 216 FOR THE SM420, WANT TO REPLACE THE REAR SEAL BEFORE INSTALLING. BELEIVE IT IS IN THE 47-53 VINTAGE.

I just changed one of these on my truck and found the seal at NAPA. NAPA part #: 22340. Only was about $9.00. The seal I could not locate was the paper gasket for the bearing retainer on the back of the tranny. RTV gasket goop worked good though.

Zeker6, I am assuming you are installing this Muncie in an AD? What is your choice for a rear-end?

Used a 78 Camero 3.42 with same (Camero)springs, and fabricated spring mounts. I was awaiting mounting trans to set the rear angle and weld spring pads to rear housing.
