#29576 10/26/2003 4:52 AM | Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 17 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 17 | I have a SBC with HEI I've had to replace 6 modules in the last year We've tried used ones and new after market types they last 1 to 2 3 months at fist it seemed if it was really hot but I;ve had them fail in cooler weather as well we've done the installs with the heat sink grease change distributors I'm out of ideas anybody got some others or have cured the same problem?

I am suspecting a bad ground. there is suppose to be a ground lug/strap/pieceofmetal that fits under the coil cover. it attaches to one corner of the coil itself and fits into the slots where the other wires go out to the side of the cap.
There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.
