Can anyone give me direction in removing and replacing the threaded bushings on the front of the frame for the front springs and the rear of the frame for the rear springs. Is there a tool available for this? I can press the ones out of the spring eye but I can't figure out how to get them out of the frame. Thanks for any input.

Larry, when you say your rattle can clogged up, have you tried changing the valve with one from another can? Or does the can itself clog?

What is necessary between uses is to hold the can upside down and giving a blast until it runs clear. This clears the valve. I usually just do this as my final swipe over the project I just painted. This way my cans rarely if ever clog.

When I get a clog, I usually try another nozzle before I give up on the can. In this particular case it happened in the midst of a painting operation. This happens all too often with "thick" paints that are only marginally suitable for rattlecans - Eastwood's "Rust Encapsulator", "Chassis Black", "Self-etching Primer", etc.

One time, in a hurry, I struck the stubborn cap of a can on the edge of the workbench to get it off - the cap came off but the action also broke the nozzle off, leaving a little bit of the nozzle still down in the can. I thought about going after the nozzle bit with a pair of tweezers for about two seconds until I visualized what I would look like with a painted face

This $20 paint gun has converted me away from spray cans. It looks to be the same Eastwood sells for twice as much. You already have the air, why not?

Freight. Does it have any other name that they might list it under? I enjoy your ongoing journal of Billy Bob's resto. Keep up the good work. I've got a 49 1/2 ton down to the frame starting the rebuild now. Will probably need more advise as it progresses. rwise

Couple suggestions - I have found copious amounts of heat, and a large sledge hammer, help for even the most rusted bushings.
