It has more power but it's running rough. At first I thought maybe dentonation with the 10-1 CR but I don't think it's that with dished pistons,12 inital timing didn't really help. The idle is rough and runs more than "lumps" like it used to. Here's the specs,
350 .060 bore 10-1 aprox CR 2.02/1.60 64cc heads 1.6 roller tip 298/300 d 500/550 cam with the 1.6 roller stock 10-10 crank, rods victor jr intake, 750 q jet stock HEI 3000 stall let me know if you need any more info
the engine has 4300 miles since rebuild, I've checked for vac leaks and the plugs and everything seems fine, but I'm not positive, I usted the carb but no luck, the engine also has a weird metalic clutter sound to it now also. The valve to piston clearace was good I was told.
crossed wires? header gasket leak? valves out adjustment?
the truck ran great before putting the heads on
Any ideas, anything at all would be great, thanks.

With the 1.6 rockers and the high lift cam you are cutting things REAL close. I am trying to remember if the top edge of the cylinder has to be notched with the big valve/cam-lift and long-rockers

Start by backing each one off one at a time till it clatters real good. You will know when you are there. Once you are satified its loose and has clearance, slowly tighten it back down till it quits clattering. Then go 1/2 turn more. Do this on all 16 and see if the noise goes away and it idles better. It helps to slow the idle way down before starting this and pull one rocker cover at a time to keep the oil mess down. Joe | | |

If you have solid lifters do not do it that way. I am guessing that you have hydraulic lifters as it was a stock engine to begin with.(just a guess)
