For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 120 Member | | Member Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 120 | I am bringing this back up because I am a new guy that needs to prove him self apparently. Mags are cool. All you guys out there that think a mag is to much trouble don't know what hot roding is all about. Go to GM and pick your self up a 350, they are easy, you can get part for them any where, but 500 other guys at the cruse nite are going to have one just like it. I am only 22 and HAVE built better hot rods then alot of you guys. Not once have i used a smallblock, nor have I built a car that was easy to build or maintain. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,742 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,742 | And your point is? Where were you when I needed some help on the 47 Mercury restoration in 1962? Some of us have more time at the parts-washing sink than you've got in the world, so take your criticisms to somene who cares. Jerry

Before you make the claim how good you are, let's see some proof of what you have done. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 384 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 384 | Kustom-- If u've been roddin for a while u gotta know that rodders have varying views on different mods. I thought your previous thread on mags was interesting because HRL and Proffit (both knowledgeable) had pretty different views on mags. Not very surprising really--but good discussion because pros and cons were aired. If you want a mag get one--who cares what others think. Right now on the inliners site in the classified section--there are old vertex mags for sale that fit the 235/261 engines--get one and try it out.
