As far as I know, at least here the 235/250 and the 292 can use the same pump. The diff is that as the 292 only saw duty here as a truck engine(no pick up's) and the 250 is normally a pass car or light truck engine, the water pump varies just because of that, but the mounting pad is just the same. Same for gas pump, distributor, manifolds and cilinder head. Even the gaskets are the same.
