Thought it was 180 degrees out tried that still the same result.Checked tonite in total darkness to see if fire is flying from dist. cap or elsewhere. No problem there. Could it be a valve hung open???? Stumped

the truck has been parked for 2 yrs I just got the exhaust put on it so I was ready to get the engine running, didnt crank it without an exhaust system,so basically the only things new is a new carb, and the exhaust system. the engine has been built already.

If you have no.3&4 changed around it will backfire through the carb. also make sure the distributor cap doesn't have a crack from one cylinder to another.

The wires are correct, Tonite with the lights off I tried cranking the engine to see if I had any fire comming from anywhere other then the starter and none showed up. I will replace the dist cap any way and see from there. Thanks
