I want to use Pre'68 Dave's water pump adapter to use the 216 water pump in it's original position so I don't have to use the short shaft pump. I had planned on using the pump, balancer and gen. off of the 216, the pump is new, and keeping the wide belt. The balancer for the 216 is 6 1/32 in dia. and the 235 balancer is 7 1/4 in dia. I have been advised that you should not use the smaller balancer on the 235, that the 235 balancer is required because of the difference in stroke.

If you do want a larger balancer the 1941-49 truck 235 and the 1950-52 Power Glide 235 had a wide belt and the larger diameter.
