Not sure if anyone reads the Street Rod Builder magazine or not but. The February issue has a really good article on a frame build up of a 1948 Chevy pick-up. It's about 8 pages with pictures showing new front and rear end installation as well as motor and transmission mounts. Also a 12 bolt 65 Impala rearend. I've seen a few posts recently on this subject so if you get a chance have a look it's pretty cool. The truck is being used by a company called Cruzan Rum in the Virgin Islands.

Thanks for posting this, 38. I've seen that new mag on the stands a couple of times, looks like I'll have to spring for a copy. After all, one can't have too much reference material, 'specially if one is a truck junkie! grin

Regards,
Wannabe smile

Yes, I got the mag. I love these 'pictorials', it really helps visualize what has to be done. That rear-end conversion looks soooooo easy to do... 65 Impala? Humm....
