I've never been lost just confused for a month or two. 1950 & 1952 chev. 1998 Chev 4x4.

I just woke up. You know I would have been at the head of Owlybear's line grabbing at those gears if I thought they would fit.....
I don't know for sure but will be calling Patrick today and he'll shed some light.

Chevy used two different ratios in their sedan torque tubes. The cars with 3 speed stick got 3.73s, and the cars with 'Glide got 3.55s. I simply found a set of Glide gears and swapped them in.
I have several 3.73 rings and pinions out of '54 sedans I parted. They may be rusty or mismatched, but if anybody wants to experiment, I'll send 'em for shipping and beer money.

No way will they interchange. I do know someone that adapted the whole '50-'54 PG rear end and torque tube into a '40 1/2-ton though. | | |
