Motor mounts will need to be changed as the 6 and the V-8 are different.

Do you mean you have a 1978 230 six cylinder???
235 engines were made up to 1962 (here in the U.S.)

I have/had the recipt dated from 1972 (I think)for just such a motor but the casting number shows it as a 1962 , It also has higher compression for the use with propane. | | |
