Has anyone had any experience w. fiberglass fenders for 47-53 burbs? See Ebay # 320158245696. Seems real pricey but ready to paint.

This isn't about a Burb, but a friend of mine who's a bodyman used a fiberglass fender on his personal '57 Chevy. It looked pretty real, and not being a bodyman I couldn't tell the difference without a magnet. The Burbs you're talking about are pretty rare and a pleasure to see on the road.
If you can't find an original or NOS part, I would say go for it.
Just my two cents.

I didn't think that price was to high unless they get bid way up there.

Jim Carters wants $473.00 for a pair.

I bought a pair this spring from someone in Manitoba. They are primed and ready but the truck isn't quite ready yet. They look fine to me. I had some gravel guard sprayed on the inside because I hear that stones could damage them, not that I would take gravel roads too often. I believe they cost me around $250.- for the pair, brand new.

49boubon, try R&R Fiberglass in Tenn. I've ran there fenders for years on my 37 and holding up fine. They been in business for years. Give Richard a call 423-334-4455. Its your money so do some checking around and don't be afraid to ask them what "weight" there fenders are" "why should I buy YOUR fenders" and do you send them smoothed down or do you have to sand all the rough edges?!! Be sure you know what your getting.

does anyone know if this guy makes these or is just the seller? hard to tell from the pic's if they are hand laminated or chopped. might be time to get the phone number and ask some questions.some rubberized undercoat should slow the chipping down.

We used to ut a product calle Kledgucel under the fenders of Bearcat kit cars to stop the underside "dimpeling" that would prevent anoying paint inperfections. I do not know where to purchase the product. It was a byproduct of the space shots.
