I have a rusted out exhaust in my '52 burb and I'd like to replace my exhaust on my '54 pickup with dual exhaust. My question is, would I be able to move my existing exhaust from my '54 pickup to my '52 suburban with little or no mods?

Yes, it should work with no modifications. Does your suburban have panel rear doors ("barn" doors) or end gate rear doors ("clamshell")?

The only difference between the suburban exhaust system and the pickup exhaust system is that the tailpipe "clears the bodies" in different positions. The Suburban tailpipe is bent towards the driver's side rather than going out the rear. This might have been done to avoid exhaust fumes going up towards an open clamshell window on a Suburban?

This answer should be corrected: if you have the same type of engine in both trucks, the exhaust will swap over. If a 54 or later engine is in the 54 and a 53 or earlier engine is in the 52, the angle of the downtubes on the exhaust manifolds are different (I think). If the angles are different, the exhaust pipe will not line up with the manifold flange.

I do not know if the later manifold will fit the earlier engine - maybe someone who knows will clear this up.

Sorry about an answering without checking out the engines in question.

If you check out the fit, it's a good time to take the original to a muffler shop so you can get a clone to use, or keep on hand for future. Once the pipes are gone, it's very hard to reinvent the wheel and expensive to ship in original aftermarket replacements.
