I am new to this forum.
My son and I are working on a 57 Chevy 3105 Panel.
We bought it as a started "frame off"
It has no drive train, springs, or axles, and no steering column. We are considering looking for a later model donor vehicle that we could put the body on. I know the wheelbase is 114" but I cannot find a spec for the width. Can anyone enlighten me?
Also, can anyone recommend the "Ideal" donor vehicle make and model?
Keep in mind that we would like to have "modern" suspension.

I have a 57 Suburban thats all original. The rear measures 60 inches from wheel mounting surface to surface. I too am looking for an upgraded rear for mine. The s-10 is too narrow from what I can tell its 54 in. I have a 69 Camaro and its rear and its exactly the same dimensions(60 in.) I know this doesn't solve the donor vehicle idea but I think it will be hard to find one thats perfect. I'm looking into an IFS front to go with the rear instead of the donor idea. We picked up a 77 Blazer that we plan to put the 57 body on. I know it will be alot of work, but it will be a great experience.
