Hey all. Spring is almost here like a double edged sword.
Warm enough to get outside and work on the truck.
Need to move the truck out of the space it was in all winter.
Here's my problem. Front tires went flat. I put it up on blocks to have access under the beast and pulled the wheels to send around the area with friends to see if they could find 16" substitutions for the stock 17"s. Now I need to move this thing in the next week or two.
I haven't been able to find any replacement wheels and I DONT want to dump cash into new 700x17 tires. I also don't want to keep the rear 17" split rims either. (they'll all be in the swap meet as soon as I can get replacements.)
Stockton wheel is willing to make a set of wheels with the correct back-spacing (3-3/4" right?) but they'll run $155 each and take 3-4 weeks.
www.stocktonwheel.com/light_truck_wheels.htm Attractive option, because they have trim rings and moon caps and stuff to fit the "20 series" wheels. Pricy and Slow tho. Hate to order 4 custom wheels and then find they don't work for some reason or other and be in the same mess, and poor, four weeks from now.
Just wanted to know what you guys would do in my situation?
