The Air Force had hundreds of burbs in the early to middle 50s. I worked in an instrument shop and we had one assigned to our shop. We took it out on the flight line with tools and equipment whenever there was trouble on our B-47s. I had occasion to drive ours many times and always wanted one. I put a "wanted" ad in Hemmings and got calls from all over the US and Canada with prices ranging from $150 to $20,000. I found the one I wanted in Kalispell MT. for $3800. Brought it home a year ago last May and drove it all summer and fall until it got cold. Am now doing a frame off. Bolted in an 84 GMC IFS, a rebuilt 283 with a TH 350. Now working on the rear end and suspension. Brakes next. Body and paint maybe this winter. Will post pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it. Weeds

I'm in too, also located in the Great White North of Wisconsin. I have a 46 3/4 Ton Panel. I have been corresponding in the body section the last couple days, probably should have started here or engine and drive line. Just finished a write up there, so take a look if you are interested.

TOny The brake light worked great. I painted it, put on a new bezel and lens and drove it about 1500 miles before I took it apart for resto. Now if I could only find those elusive bullet stock tail lights. The panel and burb site was a great idea and I will be checking in every day.
