According to the specs I have, no. The only V8 in the 4x4 models was the 283. I do beleive the 327 was used in the 2wd models, however.

i kinda figured that. the reason i ask is i found a '66 3/4 ton 4x4 and it says its got a 327 in it but he could have it listed wrong and it says that its 4x4 but when i looked in the cab i ididn't see a shifter for the t-case. btw its got a 4 speed manual in it, lower front fenders need to be replaced as do do the rockers. asking price is $5500. is it worth it?

thanks

I would suppose it would depend on the condition of the rest of the truck, 5500 might be a little high for an unrestored truck. Try seeing if he'll come down on the price, especialy since it's listed wrong.

as far as i know the rest of the truck is solid bu you only tell so much at 9:30 at night. we're going back to look at it on saturday afternoon. then we'll be able to really tell whats going on. if it does turn out to be mislisted i am going to see how far he'll go down on price. thanks for the prompt response to my question bill.
