Hey All,

I just swapped out my old 3-spd steering column for an automatic column I purchased from Stovebolter 4-5-6. Included with the shift lever was a small spring, a retention clip, and the shifter. I figured out the retention clip, how to get the shifter in the slot on the column, but am curious where EXACTLY the spring goes. Does it just slip over the nipple at the end of the shifter? Your knowledge is greatly appreciated.

yes, it just sits on the end-I use white grease to keep it there while installing
