Bought a 55 GMC truck but like the Chevrolet look better. I think? Was told other than a hood which I have was super easy to give it a Chevrolet look. Do I have to change fenders etc.....???/

Thanks

Is it a first or second series. If it's first the fenders are interchangeable, only need a hood and grille to change it to chevy stuff.

To change a 55 GMC to a 55 2nd series Chevy you need the hood, grille, the upper and lower pieces that the grill mounts to, also the hood latch that mounts on top of the grille and the bumper. the fenders are same except for the extra hole's GMC had in front.

Nose job? Harley, give it time. You may find you like the GMC better after a while. Its a bit "meaner".

I've got a buddy that did paint and body work for over 40 yrs, and I asked him about this task, His reply..."It would be like putting lipstick on a pig, people do it, but why would you want to"? And yeah, it can be done without too much work.
