I have a perfectly working regulator in my 39 chevy. the problem is my stainless strap is broken. I cant seem to find just the strap. Has anyone fabricated one or know anyone that can fabricate one of these.

I would bring it to a reputable welding shop, they should be able to tig it together. The problem is, the weld effected zone may not hold up over the long haul. Look for a local metal fab shop. They can laser cut that in no time out of stainless. It may be cheaper and quicker to find a good used one on ebay.

They look basically the same, but some mount differently because of the dash configurations. Joe
