I just rebuilt the carb and replaced the plugs,points,condensor, set timing. It runs lovely once started but is a bear to get started. I'm mostly sure the problem is carburation but carbs are all black magic and instruments of the devil. A | | |
#23948 06/22/2003 7:12 PM | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | my 235 likes about 3 pumps on the pedal, immediate full choke, mash the button - fires right up, then choke in to about a half inch - without the choke it might crank til the battery ran down - prolly is carb, and what I've found is the "reconditioned" Roch 1 brl's available nowadays are not set up for these ol 235's and never work right - I went back to my oldest one, even tho it leaks a bit
