Anyone know if there is anyplace that makes the wood pieces inside the cab on a 36 LC out of metal? I found a set of wood from a guy in PA (David Entler), maybe someone here is familiar with him, on e-bay that I may purchase if there is no metal source.

Thanks and I will upload some new progress pics of my truck soon. I got the frontend cleaned off and plan to pull the engine and trans maybe tomorrow or this weekend. It has a replacement from the 36 engine and a cool Powerglide trans behind it. I plan to keep the Powerglide just for kicks. No, I'm not going ot use it, but it is way cool looking....

Kind of making some progress. Oh yeah, and I got all my front end parts and boxing/cross memebrs in, so I have no excuses now. Well, I can allways find one if I look hard enough.....

cdjones, if there is a "metal fabrication" shop around I think they can "fab" the pieces and probably save you some money! That wood is a little pricey and so is the shipping!! I have a fab shop about 10 miles from me that I've been told they are good but as of yet I have not personally used them....yet. It appears you are not trying to stay totally original so I would say go for the metal. Do it once and forget about it. Just my .02

yeah, I'm not trying to stay original and this stuff sure is pricey. I guess I will try my hand at Fabbing up some square tubbing for the supports instead. That would sure make things stronger. Just thought I would ask since you guyws know more about these old bolts better than I do, but I'm catching up.

The metal door pillars and frame behind dash from a 37 or 38 cab can be used to replace the wood in a 36 low cab.
